WELCOME

My lifelong love of geology, nature, and fly-fishing has produced the perfect background for plein air painting. To be open and alive in the actual terrain is to immerse myself completely in the image at hand. The real feeling of weather, the sounds, the deep space, the changing light – it all transfers to the canvas.

Art is an escape from my normal way of thinking, taking me into a higher and more imaginative reality. I absolutely consider it a priceless form of meditation that allows me to interpret nature in a way I can't explain with words.
